EXPERIENCE MILLIE'S WISH
A Foundation to Benefit our Community's Youth
WHO WE ARE
Our Roots
Millie Caurso was a devoted teacher at Tisko School in Branford, Connecticut for 30 years. Her unwavering devotion to all our children, especially those struggling and in need of support, has inspired us to initiate Millie’s Wish. Millie’s Wish is a new nonprofit organization (501c) created in honor of Millie, who passed away in March 2021. This organization will ensure that all our youth have access to academic, social, and emotional support. Millie’s Wish will provide our youth with the support they deserve to ensure their success for the future.
MISSION STATEMENT
We are committed to providing a positive, safe, and stimulating environment for children to learn. We intend to offer ALL shoreline youth access to support services that will target their academic, social, and emotional needs. Socioeconomics’ should not determine our youth’s future. Millie’s Wish will provide ALL of our shoreline youth with the opportunity to achieve their optimal potential and become independent life-long learners.
TUTORING

Targeting Individual Needs
We provide tutoring for students with learning deficits and/or disabilities. Our resources include:
SAT Prep
College Prep or Career Counseling
Disability Services
Vocational School Prep/Counseling
Advocacy
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

Helping The Community
Our scholarships are targeted towards students with academic, social, and/or emotional learning deficits. These students are often overlooked despite the extra work they put in at school. We want to give these students the recognition they deserve.
SOCIAL SKILLS ASSISTANCE

Reinforcing our Commitment
We offer sessions and resources for students to build on social behaviors. Neurodivergent students will be provided resources that ensure their success into adulthood.
“Education is a right, not a privilege; it is an opportunity, not an entitlement.”
